ここは「猫と心を休める場所」。
京都の町家で、8匹の猫と静かに過ごす特別な時間をお届けします。
1時間に最大6名様までの少人数制で、猫も人も安心してくつろげます。
猫ファーストを大切にした清潔な空間で、おやつも料金に含まれ、猫たちの健康を丁寧に管理しています。
店名は、日本最古の愛猫日記と言われている「寛平御記」（かんぴょうぎょき）を書いた、平安時代の第59代天皇、宇多（うだ）天皇のお名前からいただきました。
宇多天皇の可愛がっていらした愛猫は黒猫で、他の猫と違って墨のように黒々としていることを日記の中で書かれています。
ここから、当店の店長は黒猫のうたちゃんが務めており、名前も店名同様、天皇のお名前から名付けました。
This is a Cat Retreat — a place in a traditional Kyoto house where you can share quiet moments with 8 cats.
With a limit of 6 guests per hour, both cats and people can relax in peace.
A truly cat-first, clean space with snacks included and the cats’ health carefully managed.
The shop name “Utaneko Do” is derived from the name of Emperor Uda (the 59th emperor) who wrote “Kanpyou Gyogi” that is said to be the oldest cat diary in the history. (The current Emperor Reiwa is the 126th Emperor.)
The cat Emperor Uda loved was a black cat. The blackness like ink different from others is described in the diary.
With Reference to the history, this shop’s leader is a black cat named “Uta Chan” of which the name is also derived from Emperor Uda.
うた （店長） Mgr UTA
2018年9月1日生まれ（推定）。男の子。
黒猫。
宇多天皇の愛猫が黒猫であったことから、うたと名付けました。
店長として、しっかりお客様にご挨拶をする賢い子です。
短いしっぽがチャームポイントです。
金太郎 KINTARO
2018年7月18日生まれ。男の子。
スコティッシュフォールド。
人は大好きですが、猫が嫌いで少し気難しいです。
特にうた店長のことが嫌いです。
1階にいる時はとても機嫌がよく、人懐っこくなります。
銀次郎 GINJIRO
2018年10月1日生まれ（推定）。男の子。
ハチワレ。
愛嬌たっぷりのおしゃべりな子です。
メーメーと羊のようにお話をしてくれます。
うた店長と幼馴染で仲良しです。
三四郎 SANSHIRO
2018年11月18日生まれ。男の子。
ペルシャ。
ふわふわでモンプチのCMに出てきそうな美形の子です。
おなかがすいた時など、何か言いたい事がある時は、小さいかわいい声で話しかけてきます。
いつもだいたい寝ています。夏のサマーカットは必見。
榮太郎 EITARO
2019年5月8日生まれ。男の子。
茶トラ。
ご飯をいっぱい食べる食いしん坊で一番のおデブちゃんです。
はじめはちょっとビクビクしますが、お尻をトントンすると甘えてきます。
うた店長と銀次郎に可愛がられています。
弁左衛門 BENZAEMON
2018年1月14日生まれ（推定）。男の子。
ベンガル。
なんとも言えない表情がかわいい子です。大きい身体の甘えん坊です。
崩壊したブリーダーから救出された元繁殖猫で、うたねこ堂に来てから心疾患が発覚し、里親募集を中断してにゃんこスタッフとなりました。服薬しながら元気にしています。
うたねこ堂では一番新人で、まだ他の猫に威嚇されます。
梅子 UMEKO
2016年12月1日生まれ（推定）。女の子。
黒猫。
2023年12月に京都市内で子どもの花子を連れて寒い中暮らしているのを店主が見付けて保護しました。
人馴れはしていませんので、営業時間中はエアコンの上にいます。人がいなくなったら、エアコンから降りて他の猫と仲良く暮らしています。
熟女の魅力に榮太郎がメロメロです。
花子 HANAKO
2023年10月1日生まれ（推定）。女の子。
ハチワレ。
2023年12月に京都市内でお母さんの梅子と一緒に暮らしているのを店主が保護しました。
少し長毛でゴージャスな女の子です。
気が強いですが、人馴れはしていてよく遊びます。
京一郎 KYOICHIRO
2016年8月4日生まれ。男の子。
フレンチブルドック。
元気一杯、犬も人も大好きな当店の番犬です。なので、番犬には不向きな性格です。
ごくまれに店先にいます。
猫フロア1時間 約3,000円（猫のおやつ代含む）と
喫茶ご利用代金（1,000円程度〜）がかかります。

たくさんありますが、全て猫とお客様が快適に過ごしていただくためのルールです。
お客様にはご面倒をお掛け致しますが、ご理解いただけますと幸いです。

- 猫カフェスペースに入る前に、手足を次亜塩素酸水で消毒してください。口に入れても安全な成分でできておりますので、ご安心ください。
- 店舗入り口で靴を脱いで、スリッパに履き替えていただきます。裸足のお客様や、靴下が汚れておられるお客様には店内で販売しております靴下をお履きいただきます。ご面倒をお掛けしますが、ご理解ください。
- 猫を抱っこするのはやめましょう。猫が自分から膝に乗ってきた場合は、可愛がってあげてください。
- 猫のしっぽや手足を掴むのはやめましょう。
- 猫がびっくりしますので、必要以上に大きな声や物音を立てないよう気をつけましょう。
- 猫にとってアロマは有毒です。香りのきつい香水やハンドクリーム、柔軟剤等は控えましょう。
（場合によっては、猫カフェスペースへの入店をお断りする場合もございます。猫の健康のためですので、ご了承ください。） - 当日、他店の猫カフェに行かれたお客様は、感染症防止のため、ご入店いただけません。
- 写真撮影の際には、フラッシュは切りましょう。また、他のお客様が写らないようにご配慮ください。
- 猫じゃらし等のおもちゃ、またたび等の持ち込みはやめましょう。
- 猫に食べ物を与えるのはやめましょう。
- 満15歳以下のお客様のご利用は、満20歳以上の同伴者がいらっしゃる場合に限らせていただきます。
- 店内にてお怪我された場合、消毒等の初期手当は致しますが、治療費のお支払いは出来かねます。自己責任でご利用ください。
- ルールをお守りいただけない方は、退店をお願いする場合もございます。その際にも料金は頂戴いたします。
Firstly, we have to ask you to follow all the following rules so that all customers and cats can spend a happy and comfortable time together. We would appreciate your understanding. If you have any point unclear, please feel free to ask our staff.
Before entering cat cafe, we ask you to give your signature as your agreement on the following rules. Otherwise, we are sorry we have to refuse your entry.
- Once you enter cat café, you need to disinfect your hands and legs with aqueous hypochlorous acid. Aqueous hypochlorous acid has no problem in safety aspects as it contains safe materials only (it will be safe even if you put it into your mouth).
- You need to take off your shoes at the shop entrance and change into slippers.
Customers who are in bare feet or whose socks are not clean are requested to buy socks sold at the shop and wear them for entering cat café.
We apologize your inconvenience. Your understanding would be appreciated. - Please don’t hug cats. When a cat comes on your lap on his/her own, please pet him/her.
- Please don’t seize cats’ hands and legs as well as tails.
- Please don’t make any unnecessary big sounds or speak loudly to prevent cats from being nervous.
- Essential oils for aroma therapy are toxic for cats. Please refrain from using headily aromatic perfumes, hand creams, softeners, etc.
(In some cases, we might have to refuse your entry. This rule is for cats’ health, so your understanding would be appreciated.) - If you already have visited another cat cafe on the same day, you cannot enter this cat cafe to prevent infectious diseases.
- Please don’t use flash when you take a photo. Also, please be careful so that no customer can be in your photo.
- Please don’t bring cat toys such as teaser, catnip, etc.
- Please don’t give any food to cats.
- If a customer is at 15 or younger, the customer can enter cat cafe only when accompanied by a guardian who is at 20 or older.
- If you get hurt in cat cafe, we can give simple treatment like antisepsis, but we cannot pay the cost of treatment. So please use our café with self-responsibility.
- If you don’t follow our rules, we may ask your exit. In the case, we will not refund money.

- There is a paid parking lot (coin parking) directly across the street (Shin-Karasuma St.) from the shop.
If that lot is full, please continue a little further north to find another parking lot.
